Brown Turkey

This is the "California Brown Turkey". This fig is a reliable producer with mild flavour and large fruit.  
 
The breba crop (the first crop) ripens reliably outside on the west coast in early to mid August. 
 
The fruit will go from feeling light and foamy to feeling heavy, soft and squishy, and droop downwards when it's ripe.
