Cox Orange Pippin

Well known English dessert apple, flushed orange and red with slight russet. Exceptional flavor with cream coloured flesh that is rich, nutty and aromatic. Notes of pear, melon, freshly-squeezed Florida orange juice, and mango are all evident in a good example. Parent to many modern varieties, but the tree isn't vigorous on the West Coast. Pick end of September, use to December.
