Hendre Huffcap Perry Pear

Traditional old English cultivar from Gloucestershire. Harvest mid season, this fruit has medium acids and low tannins; it is easily shaken from the tree. The name Huffcap may have come from a potent ale that could''lift one’s cap'', or possibly from an alternate spelling “Huffcup” referring to lifting your cup when making a toast, according to the WSU Perry Pear Summary.
